2 And the LORD said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’
3 Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.
4 But the LORD said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water,
iand I will test them for you there. Then it will be, that of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ the same shall go with you; and of whomever I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ the same shall not go.”
5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon, “Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink.”
6 And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people got down on their knees to drink water.
7 Then the LORD said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.”
Intercessors 300 which is also referred to as I-300, is the result of a spiritual mandate that I received from the Lord, to raise up Intercessors and train them, to equip them for the purpose of praying for nations and ministries twenty four hours a day. Father told me that this would be the pre-requisite for the coming of a great national revival in this country.
In the previously mentioned scripture when God was about to liberate the children of Israel by the hands of Gideon, we see an amazing thing happening. Father did not increase the army to fight against the Midianites, but rather lessen it from 32,000 men to a mere 300.
Judges 7:5-7 gives us the answer.10,000 went to the water to drink: 9,700 knelt down and drank by putting to their mouth into the water. However 300 put their hands into the water and brought their hands to their mouths and drank standing. Right here you can see the prophetic shifting of seasons. The kneelers who typify worshipers, however, there is an emerging of a new kind of fighter called a warrior, who has been called to tear down the enemies strongholds and divide the kingdom of hell.
The bible said that the number of warriors were 300, these are the intercessors, gate keepers, watchmen on the wall; while the revelation of the worshipper has been restored, this is the season of the restoration of the warrior, the intercessor.
300 is not a number in this case, in as much as it is an attitude, a behavior, a demeanor, a position. I-300 is not about raising up 300 intercessors, but rather raising up men and women who feel the call of God to position themselves as warriors to tear down Satan’s strongholds. These are those who keep the Body of Christ safe every day and consistently maintain an open heaven through warfare. I-300 is not about the number of people that went with Gideon, it’s about the heart of the 300.
